Tanica Edwin – IT Assistant/IT Teacher

Technology plays a vast role in today’s society and as an Information Technology instructor, I will ensure that each student is equipped to function is this modern era, fully influenced by technology. In the near future, I would love to see teachers integrate technology in their everyday teaching. “We need technology in every classroom and in every student and teacher’s hand, because it is the pen and paper of our time, and it is the lens through which we experience much of our world.” – David Warlick

My name is Ms. Beaunelle S. Lionel. I have been a teacher at the L’Abayee S.D.A Primary School from 2009, I am currently the Kindergarten teacher. My philosophy as a teacher is “every child is a champion and it is my job to help every child be the greatest champion.” I believe that school is a place to play, learn and have fun. My favourite quote is “the heights by great men reached and kept were not attained by sudden flight, but they, while their companions slept, were toiling upward in the night.” (Henry Wadsworth Longfellow)

I am Mr. Delon John, the assistant Kindergarten teacher. Teaching to me requires true devotion and determination. I believe that everyone has an equal chance of achieving their full potential but this can only be achieved based on their ability. “No step in life is less significant than the other; it requires the first step in order to get to the last.”

I am Ms. Steva Raymond, the Grade 1 Teacher

I am Ms. Keidella Estephor. I have been teaching from 2013 and believe in excellence, I am currently a Grade 2 teacher at the school. According to Haim Ginott, children are like wet cement; whatever falls on them makes an impression. It is because of this, in the early years in the home and school, the mind develops, a pattern of living is established and character is formed. Therefore, I believe my task as an educator is one of great significance in shaping and molding the minds and hearts of the little ones entrusted in my care for this life and the life to come.

I am Ms. Keia B. Hippolyte, I  started at this school in September 2015 as the Grade 5 teacher. I once heard someone say that a child miseducated is a child lost and this has inspired my teaching philosophy. I believe in motivating and being a positive contributor to the holistic development and education of every child to prepare them for this life and the life to come. “Be the change that you wish to see in the world.” Mahatma Gandi

I am Ms. Lelia Nelson, a Grade 4 teacher at the L’Abayee S.D.A Primary School, I have been teaching at this institution from 1982. My philosophy as a teacher is that every child should be given a fair chance of learning something positive that will enhance their future. “No matter what position you are in, you are always in the middle.” Chinese Proverbs

I am Mrs. Cornelia Gustave, a Grade five teacher. I am passionate about teaching and working with children and young people, helping them reach their fullest potential and helping them go into a closer relationship with Jesus.

I am Mrs. Hannah Cepal-Antoine, the Grade 6 teacher. I have been a teacher from 2008, my goal is to help every student gain the knowledge and skills required for them to succeed. “Education is the most powerful weapon you can use to change the world.” Nelson Mandella

I am Mrs. Pamela Leon-Modeste. I have been a teacher at this institution from 1991 and I am now the Principal. My philosophy as an educator is that every student should be given a fair chance at becoming an asset to his or her country. “No one can make you feel inferior without your consent.” Eleanor Roosevelt
