About Us

PRINCIPAL’S ADDRESS

L’Abayee S.D.A. Primary School has been in existence since April 1953 and has been serving the L’Abayee community and its environs for more than sixty two years. Our goal is to provide students with a sound academic foundation and a strong spiritual connection with Jesus Christ. We believe highly in academic excellence provided in a spiritually charged environment.  As a result, we have embraced the concept of SAFE School and a strong family atmosphere.

Spiritually charged

Academic Rigor

Financially Viable

Excellent Service

It is our responsibility to equip every student to take his/her rightful place in this society and ultimately to be citizens of God’s Kingdom.

The following statement encapsulates our philosophy: “True education means more than the pursual of a certain course of study. It means more than a preparation for the life that now is. It has to do with the whole being, and with the whole period of existence possible to man. It is the harmonious development of the physical, the mental, and the spiritual powers. It prepares the student for the joy of service in this world and for the higher joy of wider service in the world to come.”–Education, p. 13.

OUR PHILOSOPHY ON EDUCATION

Christian Education in an Adventist School is focused on academic excellence, the development of a healthy lifestyle, strong moral development and a commitment to service in the communities in which we live. In addition, there is the ultimate goal of drawing each pupil into a personal relationship with our Creator God.

A pioneer in Christian Education wrote: “Our ideas of education take too narrow and too low a range. There is need of a broader scope, a higher aim. True education means more than pursuing a certain course of study. It means more than a preparation for the life that now is. It has to do with the whole being and with the whole period of existence possible to man. It is the harmonious development of the physical, the mental, and the spiritual powers. It prepares the student for the joy of service in this world and for the higher joy of wider service in the world to come.”

(E G White, Education p 13)

The philosophy and practice of Adventist Christian Education is founded on this core belief.   We firmly believe that our blending of a Christian world-view, outlook and values with the state curriculum are designed to ensure that our pupils grow into mature, citizens with strong moral and spiritual values.
